A journey from nursing to biodynamic massage
I have always been fascinated by how the body as one has an innate, non-verbal capability to heal itself — especially emotionally. This curiosity has shaped my entire career, from my early years in nursing through to the work I do today.
I believe deeply that, given the right conditions, the body knows how to move towards balance. My role is simply to listen, and to create a space where that process can begin.
Originally a general nurse, I worked in both hospital and in general practice, in both administrative and clinical roles. Those years gave me a deep respect for the body's complexity and a first-hand understanding of how physical and emotional health are inseparable.
Over time, I became increasingly drawn to approaches that honour the whole person — not just symptoms, but the feelings, histories, and experiences held within the body.
I am currently studying to be a Body Psychotherapist as well as working in my Complementary Biodynamic Massage practice, based at the Royston Complementary Health Centre in Hertfordshire.
I am registered with the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists (ABMT), and I continue to develop my understanding of the body-mind connection through ongoing study and supervision.
